With 19 years in hospitality, Helen made the leap into social media to build a career that fitted around family life.
She quickly saw a gap in the market for supporting local businesses and launched BR6Life, a thriving online community that champions independent brands. This experience inspired her to create The Social Surgery, where she continues to help businesses, both locally and beyond simplify, strategise, and succeed on social media.

Alongside her social media consultancy, she also runs the families secure media shredding business HJM Media Destruction, ensuring hard drives, tapes, and reels are safely destroyed so sensitive data never falls into the wrong hands.

When Helen is not coaching clients, crafting content plans, or shredding data, you’ll find her hitting the golf course, enjoying a fitness class, or exploring local cafes and restaurants—because life is all about balance!
